This project design centered around a growth strategy for an existing bed and breakfast Winton House set among guava groves in George, South Africa. Located on the entrance road to the internationally acclaimed Fancourt golf course; host to top international golfing tournaments with spectacular Drakensburg backdrop. The existing business was strategically located to capture this potential. The project comprised a live-in homestead for the expat Dutch clients with additional quarters for guests and 2 separate double rental pavilion apartments. The design ‘inhaled’ the traditional classical context of rural South Africa and fused and ‘exhaled’ an essentially contemporary detailed manor.
