Living and kitchen pavilion in the heart of Gleniffer and Promised Land in Bellingen NSW.  This living kitchen pavilion has unique and stunning views to the confluence of the Bellingen and the Never Never Rivers set against the backdrop of Ngali – Old Man Dreaming in Gumbaynggirr country.     The architecture is a contemporary reinterpretation of the vernacular bush dwelling where the new pavilion juxtaposes westerly views with a newly complemented easterly orientated courtyard by way of an open plan adaptable fully openable volume.  Morning light is shaded and filtered through hardwood screens blackened with a shou sugi ban (look).  The western aspect is shaded by a mature mango tree.  The western decks step down to a plunge pool.  The spaces features an island bench kitchen, with concrete bench tops, recycled timber features and a combustion heater.
